I’ve been wanting a scout type rifle for a little while for no specific reason. Found a Mossberg MVP Patrol that worked with my budget so I picked it up a few days ago. I took it out today and got the scope zeroed to my liking. Right before I was about to take my 6th shot, the scope became very blurry. Thought for a second that I was having a stroke, but it was several deer that decided to come and visit. The dumbass curious deer came running towards the gun shots. I had to wait around for about 30 minutes before they decided to move out. They usually don’t show up until around 5. Maybe they know the time change is coming, and it’s screwed up their internal clock.

My 22-243, put together in the mid 80's, my dad and two of his buddies had 3 built back then. That was before the bullet selection we have today, so its a slower twist than most newer builds. I shoot 55 gr Berger's around 4k velocity. I've threaded it since this pic so now it wears my SiCo Omega while hunting. Makes an excellent calling rifle, but this gun has killed hogs, coyotes, bobcats and at least 1 deer. This particular coyote circled me on public land and got shot around 320 yards.

My first 277 Wolverine build (yes, I like wildcats!). When I decided to buy my first suppressor, I wanted an AR that would shoot subsonics. As usual, I didn't follow the crowd and go 300BO, instead I found this option and built one. This cartridge has taken over a dozen deer so far, plus multiple coyotes and a couple bobcats and hogs. My kids each have one too. I call it the "slow speed 243" LOL. I finally duracoated it after a couple years, the first pic was my first daylight coyote kills with a suppressor, called in a triple and killed 2.

Got my A1 upper done. Three prong flash suppressor, triangle handguards, .625 barrel 1X12 twist, and A1 upper without forward assist! I will put the A1 stock one hand grip on tomorrow. M1 carbine is an all matching National Postal Meter made in 1943 and is in unissued condition.KIMG0990.JPG
